Guardian Smart Homes Ltd – Terms of Service

Service Description

Guardian Smart Homes Ltd provides localised, automated environmental safety systems and data telemetry conduits. We are not a diagnostic service, a human support service, or a substitute for statutory emergency services. In the event of a life-threatening emergency or fire, you must always dial 999 immediately.

Connectivity & Power

The Guardian Ecosystem relies on the successful transmission of data via third-party ISPs and cellular roaming networks. We accept no liability for system offline events caused by regional power-grid blackouts, telecommunication failures, or altered personal-device settings (including Silent or Do Not Disturb modes overridden by the operating system).

Sub-Contractor Clause (Vicarious Liability)

All high-voltage electrical and gas integrations are performed by independent, digitally verified third-party contractors acting entirely under their own Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurances.

Trust & Safeguarding

At Guardian Smart Homes, trust and physical security are our absolute foundations. Every individual representing Guardian Smart Homes Ltd must hold a valid, up-to-date Basic DBS Certificate. We strictly enforce vicarious liability checks, ensuring all field operatives possess current trade credentials and £2M Public Liability Insurance before work commences. We actively participate in national safeguarding initiatives, including Safeguarding Adults Level 1, Dementia Friends, and Business Against Scams.

Payments & Refunds

Hardware installations operate on a strict 50/50 schedule: a 50% deposit secures your priority installation date, and the final 50% is only payable once your Guardian system is fully installed, commissioned, and you are 100% happy.

Guardian Cloud Connectivity is billed separately each month by Direct Debit, at £24.95 per month for The Remote Lifeline or £49.95 per month for The Fully Managed Lifeline, with no long-term contract. You may cancel your monthly plan at any time.

Hardware installations are non-refundable once the deposit has been received and the “Start Work” waiver has been executed.

Start Work Waiver

Because we operate an expedited emergency deployment, we ask you to sign a digital “Start Work” waiver. This waives the standard 14-day cooling-off period, allowing our warehouse to dispatch hardware immediately upon receipt of your 50% cleared deposit.

Finance Introductions

Guardian Smart Homes Ltd is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Ideal Sales Solutions Ltd, trading as Ideal4Finance. Ideal Sales Solutions Ltd is a credit broker and not a lender (FRN 703401). Finance is available subject to status. The rate offered is always provisional and will depend upon your personal circumstances, the loan amount, and the term.
